Not even the rain could hinder the excitement at the grand opening of The Revalie Ottawa on Saturday, October 16. The Revalie is a student rental community located at 770 Brookfield Road in Ottawa, featuring 700 beds, 30,000 sq. ft. of amenity space, and 20,000 sq. ft. of retail space. Phase I also includes a 6,500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art fitness centre with yoga & pilates studio, a 4,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, featuring a social lounge and games room, and 20,000 sq. ft. are dedicated to multiple study areas and lounges for communal and private study. The grand opening celebrated phase I of The Revalie, with construction beginning soon on phase II. With both phases completed, The Revalie will boast 1,400 beds, square feet of retail space.

The ribbon cutting ceremony attracted Ottawa’s Mayor, Jim Watson, who praised The Revalie team for their collaborative approach to working with the Ottawa South community, as well as the timely approach to addressing Ottawa’s on-going housing crisis. As Canada’s capital continues to grow, the demand for housing, particularly student housing, persists.

Despite the constraints of the pandemic on the construction industry, the team, consisting of Ellis Don, Hobin Architecture, and IDEA Inc., safely and successfully erected the building in just . Construction of phase II is on the horizon.
