GFL Memorial Gardens is a multi-use sports and entertainment complex that serves as the city’s primary event facility. It is home to the Soo Greyhounds hockey club, hosts concerts, conventions, celebrations and more. Located in the city’s downtown core, the scale and exterior design of this building is complementary to the surrounding urban fabric. Large windows were designed into each façade to provide spectators with panoramic views of the surrounding streets, as well as to animate the building during evening events. It contains approximately 5,000 seats during ice events with a total capacity of 6,500 seats during performances.
