Brunstad Christian Church is a worldwide evangelical non-denominational church. Established in Norway early in the 20th century, it is represented by more than 220 churches in 65 countries. This project was a design-build that incorporated a variety of programming requirements in the building. The grand hall where worship takes place, the kitchen and cafeteria amenities, waiting rooms, restrooms and common spaces were all in need of new programming in order to create efficiencies. As the church is a prominent part of the North Gower community, the requirement for a large hall that could accommodate gatherings and social functions was essential. The aim of the overall finishes was simple elegance with the intention of evoking a sense of strength and security.
